The Spartan Diamond Club supports the Thomas Jefferson High School Baseball program in several ways. With high school athletic budgets shrinking every year, the burden to support our Baseball Program at TJ falls on the parents, and in our case – the parents working through Spartan Diamond Club. Without the support of the Parents / SDC, it would be impossible to run the level of quality program that TJ Baseball is and has been, thus your participation and support is imperative.
The Spartan Diamond Club is a volunteer, parent driven baseball booster club led by a Board of Directors. The sole purpose of SDC is to support the Coaches and our players in their development through the high school baseball years. The SDC has several key responsibilities that support this sole purpose. Spartan Diamond Club Inc Mission Statement
The Spartan Diamond Club, Inc. is a non-profit organization. We are an organization dedicated to providing financial and mentoring support to the baseball program at Thomas Jefferson, a Denver Public High School.
Our purpose is to assist in promoting athletics in an atmosphere that is consistent with the educational philosophy of the school community which recognizes the impact of academics upon our “student athletes.” Historically, the Thomas Jefferson High School baseball program has competed at the Colorado High School Associations 4A level. Fundraising efforts will afford the athletes an opportunity to continue that level of play. We provide updated equipment, uniforms, financial aid, youth camps, motivational programs and training. The Thomas Jefferson Baseball community includes culturally and economically diverse students from inner city, urban and suburban areas. Our children’s success would not be possible based on the limited funding provided by the Denver Public Schools.
Our organization promotes education, good sportsmanship, character, discipline and teamwork. We continually strive to maintain open communication and a family atmosphere.
